Xerox error 900.xx
A firmware (kernel) error. It can come from a bad job, a driver, the firmware itself or a hardware fault.
Seen on: Xerox C235. The same code can mean something else on other models.
How to fix it
- Turn the printer off and on.
- Turn it off, unplug the network, USB and fax cables, and turn it on. If the error is gone, reconnect one cable at a time to find the cause.
- Update the printer firmware.
- Note whether it happens during one action (printing one file, scanning, faxing): that tells you the cause.
Is it worth fixing?
Usually software. Contact support if it continues after a firmware update.
