Xerox error 092-318
The printer's colour calibration could not read its test patch for one colour (092-318 is yellow). Print quality for that colour may drift.
Seen on: VersaLink C400 and C405. The same code can mean something else on other models.
How to fix it
- Check the toner cartridges are genuine Xerox ones.
- Clean the laser (LED) lenses.
- Remove the toner cartridge for that colour, shake it, and reinstall it.
- Remove and reinstall the drum cartridge for that colour.
- Clean the colour toner density sensor (this means removing the transfer belt; follow the Xerox guide).
- If it persists, replace that colour's drum cartridge.
Is it worth fixing?
Usually fixed by cleaning or a new drum. Contact support if a new drum does not clear it.
