Xerox error 071-210

A paper tray reported a hardware error. 071 is Tray 1, 072 is Tray 2, 073 is Tray 3.

Seen on: WorkCentre and ApeosPort models. The same code can mean something else on other models.

How to fix it

1. Turn the printer off and on.
2. Pull the tray out, check nothing has fallen behind it, and push it back in firmly.
3. You can keep printing from the other trays meanwhile.
4. If it returns, contact Xerox support: the tray lift motor or sensor needs service.

Is it worth fixing?

Often a one-off. If it repeats, it is a service call.
