Xerox error 027-504

The e-mail server rejected the scan, usually because the attachment is bigger than allowed.

Seen on: WorkCentre and ApeosPort models. The same code can mean something else on other models.

How to fix it

1. Scan at a lower resolution, in black and white, or fewer pages at a time.
2. In the printer's web page, go to Properties > Connectivity > Protocols > SMTP Server and adjust "Maximum Data Size per E-mail".
3. Check the size limit on the mail server side too.
