Printer in error state
Windows got an error report from the printer but does not say what. The real reason is shown on the printer itself.
How to fix it
- Look at the printer's own screen or lights: an empty tray, open cover, jam or empty cartridge is the usual cause.
- Turn the printer off and on.
- Cancel all jobs in the print queue and print again.
- Still failing: remove the printer in Windows and add it back.
Is it worth fixing?
Almost always fixable without parts.
