Printer offline (Windows)
Windows has lost contact with the printer. The printer is usually fine.
How to fix it
- Turn the printer off and on, then restart your router.
- Check the printer and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, pick the printer, open the print queue and turn off "Use printer offline".
- Restart the Print Spooler: press Win+R, type services.msc, find Print Spooler and choose Restart.
- Still offline: remove the printer and add it again.
Is it worth fixing?
Almost always fixable. A fixed IP address for the printer in your router stops it happening again.
