HP error Printer offline
Your computer has lost contact with the printer. The printer is usually fine; the connection is not.
How to fix it
- Turn the printer off and on, then restart your Wi-Fi router.
- On the printer screen, check it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- In Windows, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, pick the printer and turn off "Use printer offline" if it is on.
- Open the print queue and cancel any stuck jobs.
- Still offline: remove the printer and add it again, or run HP Smart's diagnose tool.
Is it worth fixing?
Almost always fixable. To stop it coming back, give the printer a fixed IP address (a DHCP reservation) in your router.
