HP error 50 Fuser error

The fuser (the hot part that melts toner onto the paper) is not heating correctly.

How to fix it

1. Turn the printer off and leave it for 20 minutes to cool.
2. Plug it straight into a wall socket, not a UPS or power strip. Fusers draw a lot of power.
3. If the fuser is removable, reseat it.
4. Turn the printer back on.

Is it worth fixing?

If it persists, the fuser needs replacing. On business LaserJets that is a standard part and worth doing.
