HP error 49 Service error

A firmware error on HP LaserJet printers, often triggered by a corrupt print job or network data.

How to fix it

1. Turn the printer off and unplug the network or USB cable.
2. Turn it back on. If the error is gone, a bad print job caused it.
3. Clear the print queue on every computer that uses this printer, then reconnect the cable.
4. Update the printer firmware from HP's support site.
